Country Cirque is a country music dedication program. People have asked about the name. A cirque is a geological formation in the mountains in a circular shape caused by a glacier over millenia. There are several of these formations on Mt. Timpanogos, from which the radio program derived its name, making it one of the most spectacular mountains to see anywhere in the world.
The Country Cirque studio is located in the recording studio at Cirque Lodge, situated at the foot of majestic 12,000 foot Mount Timpanogos, high in the Wasatch range of the Rocky Mountains.
This is a mountain with a rich history and Indian legends. The most famous legend is how the mountain got its name, and why, when viewed from a certain angle, one can almost see an Indian maiden sleeping on her back.
We use the term "cirque" and "cirquelry" to describe how good deeds can form a circular pattern in our lives. If we do good to others, it usually comes back to us. And we would like to honor those that have performed unconditional acts of kindness or true love to others.
In each show we will give away a real rose, carefully prepared, preserved and plated in pure 24 karat gold. We call it our Golden Cirque Rose. Attached to the rose is a plaque with a dedication.
We invite you to join us in this great celebration of life on Country Cirque. Email your dedications to us at dedications@countrycirque.com.
